After Avalon, then Sony CEO, Tommy Mottola, discovered Nikki’s voice and signed her to a solo deal on Columbia Records. Adam Anders’ career was given a jump start at age 18 when he began touring as the bass player for one of CCM’s most successful recording artists, Steven Curtis Chapman. A few years later, Adam made another leap forward when he programmed and arranged the entire album "Speechless", Chapman’s biggest selling album to date. It was then that Adam turned his focus to songwriting and production, landing his first major hit when Backstreet Boys recorded his song, "More Than That." Since that time, Adam and Nikki joined forces in life and music and have found success producing and writing for a variety of artists, including Backstreet Boys, Clay Aiken, Ashley Tisdale (from High School Musical fame), Jesse McCartney, Sheryl Crow, CeCe Winans, Ace of Base, Tata Young, Sinead O’Conner, etc. For more information on Adam and Nikki’s songwriting/production career, please visit: Most recently, as recording artists themselves, they are putting the finishing touches on their own record. WHY:To raise money for Jeff Isaacs—owner of Grand Junction Studios, who suffered a massive, paralyzing stroke on December 7, 2006. "Jeff Isaacs and his wife, Sandy, gave me my start in the music business. When I was 14, I was recording a song with some friends in their mall studio, "Music, Music, Music," when Jeff jumped out of the control room, came into the booth where we were singing, and asked who was singing that solo just then. It was me. He waited until my parents arrived, then told them he thought I had real potential and would like to help in any way he could. He recorded my very first demo. This led to a management deal and a record deal offer. Though I didn’t go through with that particular record deal, Jeff continued to help and open doors for me with performances, contacts, competitions, jingles, etc. His passion for music was infectious. And beyond that, he and Sandy’s support kept me motivated with their steadfast belief in me. If it weren’t for Jeff and Sandy, I don’t know that I’d be singing professionally today."
